AHHHH!

Monday, February 8th, 2010

2010 : The Year of the Exterior seems to be permanently on hold as the rain incessantly pounds the Hemet valley. Nowhere near as bad as the epic mid-Atlantic snow storms hitting the East Coast, but still, flooding has taken out a few areas and is making the normally brown and dusty valley very, very green. Fighting the Californian drought is awesome but I’m getting a bit of cabin fever.

It’s also dried up the supply of fresh vintage at the surrounding thrift stores. No one wants to donate or clean out their houses during the inclement weather. I get it. I don’t feel like doing much of anything either…

Damn you El Niño!

————————

No, you know what – Fuck You El Niño. I wrote this boring post on Sunday and today while heading out on my normal commute to work I found out that my route had literally fallen apart. NOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Come on. COME ON.

Now I have to commute around a whole goddamn mountain, adding an hour to my drive each way. Predictions for repair range from a week to over a month and another storm is brewing.

I shake my fist at you El Niño.

At least the view is nice on my new scary ass route home…at 7:30pm. I could have been in my pajamas by then.

Hemet Landscaping

Monday, February 8th, 2010

The Boy kept going on and on about this house landscaped with a huge Chevy bow tie fence sculpture. Well, that meant like nothing to me so he took me by this Hemet landmark and finally I understand!

Nothing says Hemet like a 12 foot Chevy logo installed in your front yard.
