Link Dump

July 2nd, 2010

Here are some extra special link dumps since progress is slow around the homestead. Check out that weed lawn. Classy.

-Carolina Eclectic gives a nice budget friendly shout out to The Brick.

-The Brick House mentioned on Art Info? Could it be? Yeah Boy. Thanks to 16 Miles of String.

-This shelf thing gets around. Internationally. Check out Hindsvik’s take – now with more storage!

Enjoy your weekend Homies.

Well crap.

June 30th, 2010

You know when you’re at a bar and you’ve been enjoying some libations and someone emails an offer to buy your sofa and you just think “Fuck it, why not”. And you know how maybe you don’t fully think through the consequences, like that you’ll need to buy another sofa and the big truck is broke down and your schedule is awful…

Maybe it’s just me.

I need a sofa now. What do we all think of this? I’m looking for something cute, taller than the last one and reasonably priced. TV watching kind of sofa, with style of course.

No more relaxing after work on the old Danish beast which is totally depressing. Speaking of, my day job schedule is completely nutty for the rest of the summer so posting and house progress is going to be S to the LOW. Yeah, I know. I’m sad too.

Stock Tank Pool

June 28th, 2010

The clever and talented Lily from bigBANG studio just posted about an impromptu swim party in Joshua Tree at a friends large live stock tank pool. I’m dying. DYING.

The Brick House is only a short drive away from Joshua Tree and I am desperate to know where these stylish folks  found this tall galvanized water storage tank, how they added that sweet custom ladder and what kind of filtration system they are using. So many logistical questions! So hot and in need of our own livestock pool with a killer deck and better views to lounge in.

This baby puts our own livestock tank pool plans to shame.
