Something is happening in the pink bathroom.

Finally.

It may be a few weeks…and a lot of frustration…but we are slapping some lipstick on this pig!

I went to Ikea to check out the new Godmorgon bathroom fixtures. As you can see above, the trip was a failure. But I did buy a cactus!

Oh well. The jury is still out on this new line…

Its time to start planning.

The pink bathroom is literally FALLING apart. Even though I have aesthetic issues with that dreaded pink and black room – the tiles, fixtures, walls, electrical, and floor all have serious issues that need to be dealt with.

I need to do this renovation on the cheap. Simple materials, cost effective DIY labor and an eye for something timeless that melds with the mid century lines of the house.

This is probably the worst time to start a project like this, but if we put it off a few more years I think the damage will only get worse – and more expensive to fix. I’m so nervous this is going to go horribly awry.
