Thrifty!

Monday, September 28th, 2009

The Boy and I headed out to Palm Springs on Saturday to do a little thrifting and grab lunch. It was 109 degrees with no humidity, but only felt like the face of the goddamn Sun.

I got my first little Danish Viking dude for $6.99 at the most overpriced Angel View Thrift in the whole wide world. Did someone say $1200 for a coffee table? OH, hell no.

I have to admit that store has some of the coolest, wackiest shiz I have ever seen. I get offended by the high prices but always see something totally insane that makes it worth it.

Rock it to me.

I’m totally all into geodes and Revival Thrift helped me out. I’m not sure what I’ll do with these slices, maybe coasters?

Studio pottery always call my name and can usually be thrifted pretty cheap. I paid a $1 for each.

That was it, nothing too exciting. I think I’m running out of room and getting a little more picky about what I schlep home.

Sorry

Just cataloging some ideas.

Keep moving, there’s nothing to see here.

HOLD ON. It’s still not totally finished.

I rushed to get some pics before the sun set so that you can get an idea about the new basic layout. I’ll finagle it some more…so be nice. I listened, I went with my gut and I moved a lot of shit around.

Oh. BTW.

I have to officially in writing take credit for moving ALL of the furniture by myself. YES, just me moved that big bed (and the dresser, the mirror, eight different configurations of chairs, and pulled down the lighting). The boy sleeps and plays basketball and watches Trick My Truck, but isn’t interested in decorating nor understands the need to rearrange the house constantly. I don’t think I’m that unreasonable…just particular.

I pulled a muscle in my shoulder, but otherwise came out unscathed.

I think it looks better.
