Not sure if you’ve already seen Grace’s fantastic home tour on Design Sponge, since per usual, I’m late in the sharing of stuff. Laure shot the pretty tour photos while Abby came with oodles of awesome props and I had a blast styling the house up. Always a good time working with these ladies and a better time when we end the day with some boozing, Huskies and tasty carb-loaded treats.
And then BOOM. Color.
See the whole tour and interview over here on Design Sponge.

WOW, beautiful, especially the dog!
Really beautiful mix of modern classic furniture with added warmth of found items and an adorable pooch!
Would love any info on the gorgeous large black & white print.
I want those napkins!
This home is stunning! Makes me ashamed of my own place!
I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND THOSE SQUIRREL CANDLE HOLDERS FOR MONTHS!!! (sorry, got a little excited there).
Please tell me there is somewhere I can buy those!
ETA: well, apparently if you take the time to go the Design Sponge website you will see that they are by Jonathan Adler. Thank you, internet.
Adding a link here too: http://www.jonathanadler.com/Squirrel-Candleholder
Haha. The internet is a wondrous thing.
Saw this on Sneak Peeks and really enjoyed it.
Just curious…when you say you style a place with loads of props, what does that really mean? Are there a lot of things in these houses that don’t belong to the owners? I’m not sure it matters because the space is still lovely. But I’m intrigued.
Cathy, it depends on the house. With Grace we just moved some of her furniture around and rehung some of her art and then brought a few plants, pillows and small accessories. Just those small touches to get things looking really finished. If you look carefully you can see my black ball lamp. So anyways. We spruce it up and vignette and adjust stuff to make it all look it’s best!
Totally love everything about this…especially the artwork and pillows
Hmmm… I’m with Cathy on this one. From “oodles of awesome props” to “a few plants pillows and small accessories”? I think I detect signs of a certain rug addiction…
zero rugs! all those are Grace’s.
Morgan, thanks for the explanation. I wasn’t fishing for info on any particular prop (but maybe people are waiting to see where your too-colorful kilim winds up next?). I guess it’s naive of me to think that everything we see in a photo shoot belongs to the homeowner. Maybe that would make a good challenge. What if you had to style someone’s home (that looked good, but not incredible) and you couldn’t provide any props. Could you still make it fabulous? I’m betting you could.
came for the squirrels, stayed for the dog
I still LOVE LOVE LOVE this house!
Long time reader but few and far between commenter here. Wanted to say I’m loving the shot of the napkins with the Eucalyptus dangling over them. The oranges give a fab pop of color and make me feel the need to have a little oasis like that on my table too. Ciao.
