I have a couple of knockoff Bertoia diamond chairs that have been gathering dust outside. We’ve been sitting on the front porch occasionally now that the slat screen is installed and thought the chairs could work out there, if only temporarily.
We sprayed one with a high gloss black spray paint and which turned out fab. Then we ran out of spray paint…
Now only one of us can sit outside and snoop on the neighbors.

This is starting to have a very Thunderbird Hotel vibe with the slat screen. Very cool.
Likey…Looks great. Where will the eggs go?
I am loving how your slat screen turned out.
I’m a neighbor peeker myself. Gotta keep everyone in line.
BTW – I tried IN VAIN to talk my hubbins into getting an Eames knockoff recliner. He balked. I did manage to find a recliner that isn’t so damn poofy, but was seriously craving an Eames.
Gotta work with the boys sometimes yes?
Love these pics of inside the slat screen! It came out so amazing, I would spend all of my time out on that porch.
Don’t get any paint on the lawn.
The black of the Bertoia looks great contrasted against the whiteness of the front of your house..
I love the slatted shadows on your front porch.
PS. You are a Queen of Sketchup. I played with it last night and it turns out that I am too dumb and impatient to make any magic. (I even tried to watch the tutorials – but couldn’t get them to open. Fail fail fail.)
Queen of Sketchup!
Oh, I love the Thunderbird!
Thats not a lawn thats weeds, and no paint harmed the precious weeds.
looks great, get more paint!!!
does that huge front window NOT open?
you gotta do something about that!
time for sketch-up to draw up a new window plan!
Love the slat screen! Love the chair.
is mine a knock off? how do i tell?
Now that’s what I call snooping on the neighbours in style!
Looks fab!
I have two knock-offs I was going to get powder-coated to use outside b/c they won’t be under an overhang. What do you think? Would spray paint suffice? Can I save myself a few bucks?
