The Boy finally has his sports lounger.
He can watch (the Lakers?) in comfort from this fabulous Eames lounge chair reproduction. Don’t mind the ugly hole in the wall behind it…still working on that project.
It is one of the better reproductions I’ve seen around – super low, wide and comfy with a great five star base. There are some problems with the upholstery around the bottom seat buttons and some separation at the seams on the armrests, but otherwise its in really good shape.
Even Iggy enjoys watching sports from it. I enjoy watching The Venture Bros. from its deep squishy embrace in true super science style.
This chair wasn’t a thrift store find. We actually picked it up off of Craigslist from a cute couple in Palm Springs who were very reluctant to leave their pool to haggle about a chair and let me take it for $50.

Love that chair.
BTW, you’re totally whupping the competition now.
nice find for 50 bucks!
Nice score!
$50! Great price, even for a knockoff. The 5-star base is key, too. Usually the KO’s have ugly bases.
I clearly need to move to Palm Springs because there is no way in hell anyone could make that kind of thrifty haul in South Western Ontario!
Do you have another chair like this? I thought I remembered seeing this in another room of your house before….I recently sold an eames inspired plycraft lounger I picked up at Goodwill for $20, on craigslist for $120. Cha-ching!
I did have a plycraft with an ottoman. I bartered a bunch of vintage stuff for other vintage stuff. So it got exchanged for that wall unit.
The boy complained and said he wanted another lounger. I got this one for him.
Goodwill is awesome. I picked up a chocolate brown lounger for $20 at a salvation army that now lives at my sisters house in exchange for letting me live there for like 3 months while we rehabbed our house.
