We installed the hardwire aluminum spun cone light I purchased off of Ebay. I love it – it fits perfectly and aluminum matches the base of the FADO lamp we installed in the den.
Also, it works! It didn’t catch on fire or anything. I think I’m getting the hang of this electrical thing.
Here it is above the newly painted desk…those handles will have to go….as well as that printer – YUCK.
I’m still trying to figure out what to do with the desk. I HATE IT and I’m not sure exactly how to make it more appealing…
I love this workspace put together by Travis & Sara in Westchester, NY featured on Renovation Voyeur.
So clean and minimal, I love that you can’t see a bunch of wires and horribly ugly computer equipment. I hope to achieve a similarly seemingly wireless situation. White walls, gotta love some white walls.

We’ve just moved into a house we built (in Australia) and the interior is nowhere near as finished as what you have achieved in such a short space of time….congrats!!!
If it makes you feel any better, we still have boxes to unpack, 12 years later. Guess they must be really valuable.
