Its over! Lets tear some sh*t apart.
Escrow closed last week and I now have keys. My agent asked me how it feels to be so very much in debt as well as informing me that this was the lowest priced house he’s ever closed on…shazaaammm. I’m a little sorry I was such a maniac, sorry real estate guy. Good thing I fired my first agent after 3 months of house hunting, and you only took me out for 1 day! Commission earned.
For the past few days we’ve been destroying everything in sight. Mostly I’ve focused on the kitchen floor, but what a pain in the ass that turned out to be. One layer of stuck-on vinyl, three layers linoleum (the original is still there and looks like it used to be awesome – white with red, turquoise, yellow and black speckles) and one termite spot. Three days and three people scrapping and theres still a lot of crap stuck to the floor.
The hardwood refinishing company is coming Tuesday. I can’t imagine refinishing the hardwood myself after the hell that is the kitchen – my hands are still bruised from the scrapping. The price is right and I hope they will do a better job than I ever could.
The Brick House is in destruction and construction mode, the family and friends are helping out in a major way (praise jebus) and I will post more in depth about each project shortly.
Thundercats are go!
